  Conservation - Today's Watchword! The environment in which we scuba dive is a delicately balanced world, not suited to human intrusion. Yet, intrude, we do, whether physically as a diver or an ocean-going ship, or more insidiously by way of chemicals, effluent, pesticides and other debris. We can protect this beautiful world. You can do something to help. Conservation, like Charity, begins at home!

Get involved!
    Get involved with local environmental issues at home. You may feel that you cannot do much, but every little bit counts. A lot of people doing a little is better than a few people doing a lot. You can have a great impact on the corner of the world in which you live. Show your support for a clean environment by participating in local highway and beach clean-ups, attend public hearings, learn about legislative issues.
    At work, try to get your company to contribute to environmental issues and participate in local conservation efforts. Lobby for a Payroll Deduction campaign. (Contact Earth Share for details.) Organize a group and seek corporate sponsorship from your employer. And, especially, do your part in making sure your company recycles and does not pollute. Companies of all sizes can have a tremendous impact and companies are only made up of people - people like you.
    In fact, the only way to get something done, is to do something!
