TRANSLATION:
ENGLISH: Have you been to the beach?
CHINESE: Wai Yu So Tan?

by Marginal Martin 1999.

Dive carefully in fragile aquatic environments.
All marine environments are fragile, no matter how rugged and harsh they appear. This is a world in equilibrium.
The rocks and plants might be dismissed as just so much landscape (or seascape), but they could be tiny aquatic creatures. These tender organisms can be killed by a single bump of a scuba tank, or camera, or the swipe of a fin, the bump of a knee, or even the touch of a hand.

It's a delicate world in which we dive.
It's delicate and balanced. Our presence can have devastating effects if we charge around without care or concern.
Some organisms grow extremely slowly. By breaking off even a tiny piece, you could destroy decades of growth.

Be aware of your body and equipment placement when diving.
It's very easy to do damage without knowing it. Keep your gauges and alternative air source properly secured so they do not drag over the reef or the bottom. And watch those fins - they can do a lot of harm.
Be careful! Be aware! By controlling bouyancy and staying off the bottom, the reef, or wherever you are diving, you can prevent long-lasting damage to these magnificent dive sites.
