Make sure "Start Page" appears in box

In NAVIGATOR 3.0, while in Preferences, click on Fonts and choose Proportional Font. You can choose your own font style and the font size for your general scheme. Times New Roman in size 12 gives me an easy-to-read screen, but change it to suit yourself. Another way to give yourself more screen to look at is to click Pictures for the toolbar in Appearance, and under Options click off the Show Directory buttons, then Save Options

Press the "Prefs" button on the AOL WWW browser/viewer

select the NAVIGATION tab

In Customize, pull down the PAGE option to read START PAGE

Go to 'My AOL'

Select the PREFERENCE tab in the window that comes up.

Press the "WWW" button

select the GENERAL tab.

AOL compresses graphics, making each webpage look distorted. The default in Internet Explorer for Web Graphics is "Compressed". That can be changed by going in "My AOL" and then Preferences. Go to WWW, which will bring up the Internet Explorer preferences. Click on the tab for "Web Graphics" and then click to remove the Check Mark on "Use Compressed Graphics"
